October 6, 2008 SPARKS LIBRARY TO HOST ART EXHIBIT FEATURING THE WORK OF LOCAL STUDENTS Sparks, NV - The Sparks Library will host an art exhibit October 10 – November 26, featuring the work of students taking part in the City of Sparks' "Art Start" Watercolor class. Local award-winning artist, Marguerite Crokus, is the instructor for the monthly class. The art exhibit will include 12 pieces highlighting various watercolor styles and subject matter. Additionally, Crokus will have some of her own work on display.

September 21, 2008 CITY OF SPARKS PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT ANNOUNCES CHANGE IN HOURS OF OPERATION As a cost-saving measure due to current economic conditions, the City of Sparks Parks and Recreation Department will be implementing an alternative work schedule starting September 29.
