November 3, 2008 SPARKS ANNOUNCES WEEK-LONG COMMUNITY FORUM TO INCREASE TOURISM As a follow-up to the Community Assessment conducted by Destination Development International (DDI) earlier this year, the City of Sparks, Nevada, has contracted with DDI to take the next step and create a brand identity for the community. Funding for the $114,000 contract comes from the City's tourism and marketing budget which is derived from hotel room taxes. The funding is restricted only to funding city marketing programs.
