Cable Television
Charter Communciations has provided the City of Sparks our own cable television channel. Some programs on this channel include "Spotlight on Sparks," the city's public affairs TV program, the Sparks bulletin board. SCTV-15 is dedicated to government activities, programs, and special meetings.

Citifare and CitiLift (see also Bus)
Citifare is the public transit bus system of the greater Reno/Sparks area, providing residents and visitors with safe and reliable bus service. The RTC also provides CitiLift service for people with disabilities, operates the commuter service, PRIDE, between Reno and Carson City.

Community Development (see also Planning)
Focuses on the short and long range needs for the community, participates in regional planning and other regional programs and committees, economic development, redevelopment planning, housing, annexation program and updating of the City's Master Plan for growth management. This department is also responsible for all development review, plan checking, permitting, entitlements including several planned developments, subdivisions, zone changes, master plan amendments, code amendments, special use permits, variances and regional plan amendments.
