| Regional Transportation Commission |
| The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) is responsible for the regulation and development of ground transportation in the region. The RTC Board consists of five members, two County Commissioners, two Reno City Council Members and one Sparks City Council Member. Each member may serve two consecutive 2-year terms. |

| Regional Water Planning Commission |
This commission provides the region with water management options and information. It also plans for flood control and wastewater management. There are a total of 17 members: nine voting and eight non-voting. Members are appointed to three-year terms. They may serve two consecutive terms. Each of the following appoints one member:
- Governing body of the largest city in the county
- The governing body of the next largest city in the county
- One member by the board
- The board representing owners of domestic wells
- The governing body of a general improvement district having the greatest number of customers for water and sewerage in the region
- The supplier of water having the greatest number of customers for water in the region which is a public utility
- The governing body of the Indian reservation which is the largest in area in the county, if the county contains an Indian reservation
- If no reservation, one member appointed by the other members of the commission to represent the public at large
- One member of the public appointed by the governing bodies of the two largest cities in the county by mutual agreement to represent environmental, biological, conservation or public concerns
- The governing body of the irrigation district which has the largest number of members in the region

| Reno Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority Board of Directors |
| The Reno Sparks Convention & Visitors Authority (RSCVA) provides marketing leadership and helps develop long-term tourism growth in the area. The 12 member board consists of two County Commissioners, two members of the governing body of the largest incorporated city in the county, one member of the governing body of the next largest incorporated city in the county, one member who is a representative of air service interests nominated by the Airport Authority of Washoe County, one member representing the motel industry, one member representing the banking or financial industry, one member representing business or commercial interests, and three members representing the association of gaming establishments. |

| Reno Sparks Joint Sewer Coordinating Committee |
| This committee is essentially the governing body for the Truckee Meadows Water Reclamation Facility (TMRWF), otherwise known as the treatment plant. The plant is jointly owned by Reno and Sparks. The committee's members are the City Managers of each city, the Finance Directors of each city, the Public Works Directors of each city, the county's Director of Water Resources, and a board member of the Sun Valley GID. Many of the committee's decisions are later ratified by the two City Councils (budget adoption, construction or professional services contracts, etc.). |

| Sparks Tourism Facility and Revitalization Steering Committee |
| The Committee advises and makes recommendations to the Sparks City Council on Sparks Town Center Redevelopment projects or capital improvements. Specifically considered is the use of lodging tax proceeds providing a direct benefit to projects or capital improvements as determined by the Committee. The RSCVA appoints two committee members - one Nevada Resort Association (NRA) member representing a property outside Sparks and one representing the interest of Sparks, Reno, Washoe County, the motel industry or general business. The other committee members are two Sparks City Council members and one NRA member appointed by the NRA and representing a Sparks' property. |

| Sparks Tourism and Marketing Committee |
| The Committee is comprised of three members. One member of the Committee is appointed by the Nevada Resort Association (NRA). The NRA appointed Stephen Ascuaga of John Ascuaga's Nugget. The other two committee members are city council members and have historically been the chairman and vice chairman of the Sparks Redevelopment Agency. The committee's purpose is to designate funds received from the RSCVA (The Reno-Sparks Convention & Visitor's Authority) to tourism related projects in the City of Sparks. |

| Stadium Authority Committee |
The stadium authority must consist of:
- One member of the board of county commissioners
- One member from the governing body of each city in the county whose population is 60,000 or more
- If the stadium authority enters into an agreement with an AA or AAA minor league baseball team pursuant to which the team agrees to play its home games in the stadium, two persons appointed by the owner of the team. The committee is made up of one Sparks council member, one Reno council member, one Washoe County Commissioner, and two members of the baseball group.

| Truckee Meadows Regional Planning Governing Board |
| The board was created by the State Legislature in 1989 to oversee the creation and implementation of a regional plan for the Truckee Meadows. The board is comprised of two elected officials from Sparks, two elected officials from Reno and two elected officials from Washoe County. |

| Truckee Meadows Regional Planning Commission |
| The purpose of the board is to develop a comprehensive regional plan for the physical development and orderly management of the growth of the region for the next 20 years. The Truckee Meadows Regional Planning Agency (TMRPA) implements the regional vision through coordinating master plans that reflect community values for addressing and solving regional issues. The commissioners are appointed by the three local governments and must be currently serving Planning Commissioners of their appointing agency. |

| The Truckee Meadows Water Authority is a public agency created through a joint powers agreement among the City of Reno, City of Sparks and Washoe County. The board is comprised of elected officials of the three agencies. TMWA provides full water services for a growing base of customers. Functions include treatment, distribution and storage of water and other services. |
