| Criminal Justice Advisory Committee |
| The Criminal Justice Advisory Committee has two components: Steering Committee, which meets every other month, and the regular CJAC meetings every other month on the alternate months from the Steering committee. The Steering committee was formed in June of 2003. There is a representative from each of the criminal justice agencies of Sparks, Reno and Washoe County; (Police, Courts, District Attorney, City Attorney, Sheriffs office, City officials etc.). The committee looks at matters such as jail overcrowding, court services, early case resolution, sheriff's work program, alternative sentencing etc. There are no official appointments; each agency designates one representative. |

| Debt Management Commission |
| The Debt Management Commission assists counties in managing debt programs such as debt issuance and tax rates. They also collect annual debt management plans. They meet quarterly or as needed. Three representatives from the board of county commissioners from its membership, 1 representative of each governing body of the five largest cities in the county from its membership, one representative from the board of trustees of the county school district, 2 representatives of the public at large. |

| Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada |
| EDAWN (The Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada) is a private, non-profit corporation. Over the years, the EDAWN professional team and member volunteers have worked to help primary industry entities relocate, expand, retain, start and grow their businesses. EDAWN has a number of committees for various purposes. |

| Washoe County District Board of Health |
| This board handles issues pertaining to health and environment for the County. The board is comprised of two representatives each from Washoe County, Reno and Sparks. Additionally, there is a seventh member from the community who must be licensed to practice medicine in the State of Nevada. Members serve a 4-year term; elected representatives serve coterminous with their term of office. |

| Washoe County Human Services Consortium |
The cities of Reno, Sparks and Washoe County make up the Washoe County Human Services Consortium (WCHSC). It is responsible for making allocation recommendations for available funds to human service providers making grant applications. The Consortium goal is to enhance the quality and delivery of the human services system in the Truckee Meadows.
The Human Services Advisory Board (HSAB) that is part of the Consortiums consists of three community members and one alternate from each jurisdiction. The HSAB reviews the annual grant applications submitted in accordance with the WCHSC process. This review takes place during a schedule of evening meetings throughout the year, with four specific meetings in February. Each March the HSAB presents their recommendations to the Triumvirate - consisting of one member each from the Sparks and Reno City Councils and the Washoe County Commission - that approves the final grants. |

| Washoe County Oversight Committee for School Facilities |
| The Washoe County Oversight Committee For School Facilities has two charges. One is to review and approve/disapprove requests from the Board of Trustees to sell school construction bonds. Second is to recommend to the Legislative Counsel Bureau alternative methods of financing school construction, maintenance and improvements. Half the members are appointed by Washoe County, Sparks, and Reno and must be elected officials. The other members have financial, construction, and/or management backgrounds and are appointed by the school board. |

| Washoe County School Renewal Committee |
| The Washoe County School Renewal Committee gives advice on how and in what schools bond money allocated for improving older schools should be spent. Members are appointed by the school board from nominations from the public. |

| Washoe County Senior Services Advisory Board |
| The board is comprised of people from the community and elected officials. They discuss issues affecting senior citizens and act only in an advisory capacity. Members include one elected representative each from Washoe County, Reno, and Sparks. In addition the board of County Commissioners appoints up to seven members with a background in nutrition, geriatric, social work, administration, finance or law. Anyone who shows interest in the committee can fill out an application. Chosen applicants are appointed by the County Commissioners. |

| Washoe Storey Conservation District Board of Supervisors |
| The Washoe-Storey Conservation District provides conservation assistance to farmers, ranchers, the urban population, and various governmental agencies. Conservation Best Management Practices are promoted through the District's public outreach efforts and demonstration projects. Although neither a regulatory nor an enforcement agency, the District works to assist with the identification of land use problems, to offer guided solutions, and to coordinate volunteer participation in all of its conservation projects. |
